From Stock to Standout: Elevating Corporate Websites with Custom Images

I recently had the honor of collaborating with a client, Brooke Global, to capture their corporate images, which now take center stage on their website. It fills me with immense joy and a sense of accomplishment to witness the transformation and the positive impact our work has had on their online presence.

Receiving positive feedback from the client's media manager has been truly gratifying. They expressed their admiration for the images and appreciated the opportunity to showcase their own people instead of relying on generic stock photos.

I am thrilled to have played a small part in enhancing their corporate image and creating a more authentic and engaging online platform. It reinforces my passion for photography and motivates me to continue delivering exceptional results for my clients.

Capturing Professionalism: A Look at My Corporate Headshot Project with Brooke Global

As a photographer, one of my recent projects was working with Brooke Global, a company specializing implementing business wide change through digital transformation.

Specifically, I was tasked with providing them with 10 corporate-style headshots for their staff members, as well as contributing to their stock library of images for their website revamp.

The headshots were taken in their office environment, utilizing studio lighting to create a professional and polished look. I worked closely with each staff member to ensure that their individual personalities were reflected in their photos while still maintaining a cohesive look throughout the set.

In addition to the headshots, I also worked on building their stock library of images. This involved capturing images staff members at work, and other relevant images that could be used to promote their business. These images were carefully curated and edited to ensure that they fit the branding and aesthetic of the company.

The end result was a collection of high-quality images that could be used across various marketing channels, including their website, social media, and print materials. By having a consistent and professional image library, Brooke Global was able to improve their overall branding and stand out from competitors in their industry.

Working with Brooke Global was a great experience, and I am proud to have contributed to their success. Through my photography, I was able to help them showcase their staff and their brand in a positive and professional light, and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Not my normal type of Shoot

Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting the Melbourne-based band, Smoke Stack Rino, in my studio for a photoshoot. As soon as Smoke Stack Rino strutted into the studio, it was clear that they were here to make an impression. The band members had an undeniable chemistry that was evident from the moment we started.

Throughout the shoot, we played with different lighting and backdrops to create a range of looks, from moody and mysterious to bright and bold. Through it all, the band members remained playful and fun-loving, making the entire shoot an absolute joy to work on.

Overall, working with Smoke Stack Rino was an incredible experience. With their Melbourne sound and sass, this band is a true gem in the Australian music scene. If you haven't checked them out yet, I highly recommend giving them a listen. And if you ever get the chance to see them live, don't miss out – their infectious energy and killer tunes are sure to leave you wanting more!

Hints and tips for your headshot session:

Head-shots are a great way to showcase your personality, professionalism, and uniqueness. Whether you're an actor, businessperson, or just looking for a great profile picture, a head-shot session can be an enjoyable and empowering experience.

Here are some tips on what to wear and basic poses to help you prepare for your head-shot session:

  1. Clothing:

  • Choose solid colours that complement your skin tone and hair colour.

  • Avoid patterns, prints, and bright colours that can distract from your face.

  • Opt for neutral colours like black, navy, grey, and brown.

  • Dress in something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.

  • Avoid wearing clothing with logos, labels, or branding.

  • Make sure your clothing fits properly, and is wrinkle-free.

  1. Makeup:

  • Wear minimal makeup, and avoid heavy eye makeup.

  • Ensure that your makeup enhances your natural features, rather than hiding them.

  • If you're a man, make sure your skin is clean and moisturized.

  1. Poses:

  • Relax your face, and try to maintain a neutral expression.

  • Avoid tightly clenching your jaw or frowning.

  • Keep your shoulders relaxed and your chin level.

  • Look directly into the camera lens with your eyes.

  • Try not to tilt your head too far in any direction.

These tips should help you prepare for your head-shot session and ensure that you get the best results. Remember, the goal of a head-shot is to showcase your face, so focus on making your expression and attire as professional and confident as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns about your head-shot session, don't hesitate to ask me. I will be happy to help and guide you in any way I can. Good luck!

2023 Begins

2023 is Here and the Cameras are Rolling!

It's a new year and that means it's time to get my camera working! I'm thrilled to announce that I have already taken my first photo shoot of the year with Lucy.

I had the pleasure of working with Lucy, who’s a fantastic client, and she had a clear idea of what she wanted, and I was excited to bring it to life. It was the perfect way to kick off 2023 and put my skills to the test.

As always, my goal is to make sure my clients have an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I love getting to know my clients and capturing their unique personalities in each photo.

The final product was excellent, and I'm so grateful to have had the chance to work with such a good client.

Its well in to 2022, and I’m happy to have been doing some work for Sophie, at Sophia Andrea Moda.

Getting in to the studio after the long COVID shutdown, and doing work for awesome people is always fun!

Back to work for 2022, a Wedding!??

Drastic circumstances call for drastic action. A good friend of mine Tania got back a positive R.A.T the night before she was due to shoot a wedding. I get the call at about 930pm that evening, and of course, to help out a friend I agree.

Having not shot a wedding since 2016, and completely divesting myself of weddings because I do not enjoy them, there may have been an air of panic, and nervousness in the house as I packed my gear and charged batteries. However, despite a 5 year gap in weddings I don’t think I did such a bad job.

Big thanks to Mel and Paul for being a great couple to work with.

Mono Awards 2021

Not quite the Winner or even top 50, but I'm more than happy to take a 'Highly Commended' for my first ever competition entry’s.

Highly Commended ‘People’ Category

Highly Commended ‘Places’ Catagory.

. Great incentive to try for a Top 50 Next year!
